You’ll never know if you don’t ask. The answer is always no if you don’t ask. How do you know it won’t work if you don’t try it? These are just a few of the things my brilliant mom used to tell me. Simple phrases and questions like these are where confidence comes from. Repeat these to your co-workers, your staff, your partner, your kids – most importantly – to yourself. Another one from her? It couldn’t hurt to try.
